Outing!

Well, that's another week over with. Yesterday I met up with a few friends and went out to an exhibition of 18th century dress, and then out for dinner, which was nice. The exhibit was very small and didn't take us long to get around, but nonetheless it was a fun time.

         Charlotte and myself.

A self-taken shot of all of us that turned out pretty well.

It was indeed a very fun time and we discussed the events which are coming up and should be a lot of fun. Money of course (and clothing oneself) is a key problem for attending all of these lovely events, but at least a lack of funds fosters creativity in my outfit choices. We are meeting up in a couple of weeks to go and see Oz because ever since I saw the trailer with all of its top-hatted, steampunk-inspired iconographic glory I have wanted badly to make it one of the rare movies I catch in the theater. I am somewhat skeptical about the steampunk element, but I'm hoping it will be well thought-out and not totally uninformed, simply incorporating goggles to contribute to a trend. Hopes are high!

That's about it, now I must get back to doing something more productive than watching family guy and attempting the futile task of sorting through voluntary job ops. Until next time!

One of those days

Today is one of those maintenance days where one bums around in a pair of bloomers, drinks lots of tea and does laundry! My kitty has been going crazy today! She will not leave the curtains alone and is generally meowing to the point of my distraction -it is not fun when your skype call is interrupted about ten times so you can scold your misbehaving feline...

Not the most exciting of activities, but a day must be reserved for this type of thing. Also, I'm procrastinating with certain things like re-dyeing my hair, getting That Doctor's Appointment and to top it off, I have a strange allergy that is causing the skin on my hands to be extremely dry and sting, andd my anaemia seems to be making progress in it's war against my over-the-counter non-prescription iron/b12 pills. Must. Sleep. At. Reasonable. Time. Tonight.

In other news, I ordered my Asylum tickets this week which is a small load off my mind. I am much looking forward to the lolita meet up this weekend also, I will finally get to give everyone their christmas presents (yes, it's about time!)

Hmm, I think that's about it, now to proceed with laundry, cut my fringe and find some sort of odd-job to complete!
Here is a random bathroom photograph since I have no intention of snapping myself right now!

Tuesday 5 February 2013

Hi everyone! Surprise surprise, I'm still alive! As usual I have been severely neglecting my online ventures recently, particularly this personal blog. I've been going through tough times in my life these past few years and as a result I haven't found much inspiration to blog about it, or to make the posts positive! However, I'm back and resolute in blogging more frequently and doing so in a positive manner. My life is going to be changing in many ways this next year and I hope I will be able to grow and move forward as a person, and thus be more able to blog and blog well!

Since it's been such a long time since I made a post, I'll forget trying to get up to speed in this one entry, but rest assured that future posts will be better as far as updates go. For now I'll leave with a few positive photos to initiate my blog anew!

Looking at the sun go down is one of those things I love to do, but something which most people take for granted and hardly give a passing glance to. Usually when it's a beautiful sun set I whip out my camera and just take some candid shots of it for fun. One day I will check off one of the big things on my photography bucket list: to get up early and watch and photograph the sun rise in the middle of nowhere on a large hill!

Well, bye for now.
