Hello again blog!
Lately I’ve been kind of busy occupying my time trying to get various jobs done.  I think I’ve done pretty well so far but I thought I’d stop to take a small break and update my blog. This past weekend has been so hot! I’m surprised I haven’t melted. On Saturday I went into town, and it was super busy and super hot. I just got my money in my bank account, and ended up buying a few things but I’m trying hard to stick to my budget lately and save up. I took a quick webcam picture of my new dress however, ‘cause I think it’s super pretty! There was only one left and it’s actually a size bigger than the size I need but it has an elasticated back and adjustable straps so it fits just fine!

I also got this super cute hello kitty set with a cup and plates and stuff. I swear, when I move out I’ll be totally set as far as cute kitchen equipment goes!

Other stuff I got that isn’t pictured is some make up (I wanted a new blusher) an anime DVD of 5cm per second which was super cheap and something I wanted to see anyway, and some yummy natural mint and cucumber shower gel stuff. I never usually buy that stuff but I felt like treating myself! Another thing I’ve been doing lately is sitting around and looking awesome with natural yogurt on my face. Why? Because it’s amazing for lessening skin redness, soreness, moisturizing, and a bunch of other stuff.  It’s basically a natural miracle. On that note, everyone interested in beauty stuff or hilarious comedy videos should go check out bubz:  here!
One more thing I must mention is the cute ducklings! The houses around here are right in front of a river and pond area and so adorable ducks constantly waddle over to our front doors and wait to be fed. It’s really cute but we didn’t realize that one of the ducks would eventually make a nest around here! Two weeks ago the mother duck made a nest right next to the front door opposite us, nestled next to the bins. Just yesterday the eggs finally hatched and we had the most adorable baby ducklings waddling around the car park! Luckily everyone looked out for them and today they went back to the pond safely. I think all my neighbours are sad to see them go, but they should come back next year. I took a video to capture the moment, and here it is!

[I still haven’t managed to fix the problem that causes me to not be able to comment on other people’s blogs using my account! I assume it’s some sort of setting on my new laptop that’s preventing it but I haven’t had much time to sort it out just yet.]

[EDIT: I'm having trouble commenting on other blogs. I write my comment, select that I want to use my Google account, press post comment, and get sent to the log in screen. I log in, and I'm sent back to the comment, and then I press send, and get sent back to log in again, and the comment never posts! Anyone else having this problem?]

It's official- I've been BlogSlacking. But! I have excuses aplenty, and they're very valid. Over the past month or so, I've moved out of my bedroom, got new furniture, moved back into my bedroom, had a college interview, and an 18th birthday. I have thought about posting during all this, but my head has just been elsewhere.

As far as the college interview goes, I have an unconditional place, and will be starting in September. Am quite looking forward to it but I'm very nervous- the campus is quite big, and I only know two other people, one of which is usually going to be on placement and not actually in college, and the other I don't regularly speak to. Still, I'm sure I'll meet some new people and it should be fun once I get there and get over the initial nervousness.

My birthday went well too- I got lots of cool presents, including the laptop I'm currently writing this blog on, an amazing pink ukulele with Lisa Simpson on it (although I did want a SpongeBob one, waa!), some hair straighteners, a Viviene Westwood necklace and a bunch of other cool stuff. I went with my mum,  aunt, my cousin and her fiance to Starbucks in the morning, then later on my mum took me to this super posh hotel place for fancy afternoon tea, which I really enjoyed considering my obsession with tea parties and the like. I took some snapshots of the decor because I was majorly impressed.

Here's a shot of me and my mum.
                                                           Aaaand me and my cousin.
Here I am outside the hotel.

It was a good day. Also, this weekend me and a few friends went out for a kind of post-birthday meal thing. Here are a few required bathroom shots. I look kind of amused because about three minutes earlier I accidentally pulled the soap dispenser off the wall...o.o

As the day went on I began to notice that my birthday had a Hello Kitty theme!
As I walked in my living room I saw this...
And here's my cake! ^_^

I had a really fun birthday, and now I have no more excuses I can get back to my regular blog posts!

Photobucket
The weather has been so freaky here lately, even for England, hense the photo of the sun/rain hybrid we're currently experiencing. It looked like glitter was falling outta the sky.

Hello hello dear blog! I thought it was time for another update as, although I don't have anything special to write about, I want to keep my posts regular so I don't go into Super Slack Mode (TM). So the other week me and my friend Hilz -and possibly some other friends of hers- decided we should go to Comic Con this year! We would have to get trains, including about four train changes (ugh!) but I was willing to invest the time and money to go to my first convention! Unfortunately though, things are looking uncertain on that front right now as there have been bomb threats recieved in London today, and so I'm not so sure I'll still be going as the convention is in two weeks. We'll see. My friend Melanie's 18th birthday is also coming up this saturday, which should be fun. I'll probably take a camera of mine, and I'm sure I won't be the only one, and eventually I'll probably post some photos from that.

I must apologize for the lack of photos recently too! Especially considering I now have four new film cameras which my friend's parents kindly gave me when they were cleaning out their attic to move house. I need to get some film and test them all out actually, which may happen this week as Amy wants me to *ehem* "model" for her as she wants to get some photography project of hers into the works.

I will disappear now into the land of catching-up-on-interwebz-correspondence, but before I do, I'd like to urge anyone who might read this to follow >>> this link <<< and sign the petition against the airing of this sickening excuse for a music video by Kanye West. After reading about it on Fbomb earlier today I was shocked and appalled that such a violent and disgusting video would actually be allowed to be aired to anyone -particularly a younger audience- on television. This isn't just a vulgar attempt at being "sexy", this is violence. This is a new low.

Thanks for reading! =D

Hmm, I suppose it is time for one of those update thingywotsits. To be honest, I haven't been doing anything lately that is interesting to write about. I applied for college -English language & lit, communication and culture, critical thinking- and I'm waiting for them to contact me with a date for my interview. Not really looking forward to the prospect as sitting down and having questions fired at me on a one-to-one basis makes me feel a little less than comfortable.

In other news, I've been doing a lot of reading as usual. Most recently, the following...

These wonderful books will be proudly placed on my bookshelf and I encourage anyone and everyone who cares about this screwed up world we live in to read them also.

That's about it for now folks. ;)

OOPS.
I do realize I haven't made a post in a while. This is basically due to a combination of laziness and...well, a few days I just haven't been feeling too great and didn't feel like writing about life. A few cool things have happened, primarily that I got a new phone, as pictured below!

Its a decent phone, but mostly I bought it as a plan B since my other -and quite frankly better, even with it's flaws- phone decided to turn itself off a few times last week. The screen is also super scratched, but I still luv it, and it is basically a lot more reliable. Hmm what else? Tomorrow I'm going out with Aisling and Lauren for dinner which should be fun. Oh, and Aisling's family are nice enough to give me their old camera stuff since they're having a moving-day clear out, which is super thoughtful. There's always more room in my life for new cameras. Totally excited.

Oh yeah, the fair photos. Aisling took them because my camera is huge and I didn't wanna risk it getting broken but she has no fear, anyway, they're bloody awful of me, at least I think they are. But hey, no one looks good during a moment of high G-force, right? Here are a few of the not-too-terrible shots...
Me LOLing at a rather large slice of our rather large pizza. And Sid's head.

A moment of high speed...'nuff said.

Half-face shot! Ais won me the awesome banana, who we named Barry.

LIFE IS PRETTY F*CKIN' GOOD WHEN YOU CAN SIT IN THE SUN BLOWING BUBBLES ALL DAY.

In other news, the weather is b-e-a-utiful and I have a sudden obsession with Exotic flavour Soleros. I'm going to the carnival/fair/whatever you want to call it with Aisling on friday, shopping on saturday, getting a helluva lot of chocolate on sunday, going out somewhere with the family monday and getting my hair done some time next week too. Life. Is. Good.

Otha stuffz.

Sooooooo, today I went with Aisling and Lauren to see Red Riding Hood. To be quite honest it was pretty crap. It just felt like some sort of murder mystery with unnecessary gore, and it lasted wayyyy too long. It's unfortunate though because I think they had an opportunity to make it a really good/interesting version of the original children's story, and instead it was just like one long wait to find out who this "wolf" really was. Not worth the extortionate price I paid for a ticket. However, I'm still pretty happy to have met up with Lauren particularly after such a long while of not seeing her.

Speaking of other good movies I've seen lately, I must recommend a couple! A few weeks ago I went to see SuckerPunch with my friend Laura. It was a pretty damn good movie, totally insane and twisted, just the way it should be, heehee. It could have been improved as far as the plot goes and the ending was kind of sucky but it was still a good movie. I also recently watched Despicable Me, which is super hilarious and just totally unique as far as the storyline goes. Definitely recommended. Hmm what else? Not much.

I've not been doing much of interest lately, so your best bet for contact with me or whatever is probably on one of the websites belowwww -
